How is the Course Designed?
- According to Georgia State Guidelines, every PLU equals 10 hours. A 5 PLU course will have at least 50 hours of course work.
- Honor System: Whenever a participant’s signature is required to verify course work completed, your signature will serve as a pledge that all information provided is accurate and completed by you, as the only registered student using your name and user identification number.
- You will only be required to attend the two on site meetings mentioned above.
- All other course work will be completed by each participant individually.
- Work will be divided into modules. Each module must be completed within a time allotment given in the syllabus and returned to the instructor upon completion.
- Verification of each module’s (lesson's) completion and acceptance will be e-mailed by course instructor.
- With the satisfactory completion of all course work, you will receive necessary forms demonstrating your completion of course requirements at the Wrap up meeting.
- Each student must complete all course related work within 6 months from registration.
What happens if you have questions?
- Each instructor will be available to registered participants via e-mail addresses.
- Participants will be given these addresses at the orientation meetings and also appear in course information.
- E-mail questions must contain the participant’s name, module number for which you have a question, a return e-mail address, and a clearly stated question.
Note: You will not be able to Log into a Course prior to completion of the registration process. You will receive a packet of information along with a password to the course and a user identification number, at the required on-site orientation meeting (see above).
